Details
Built as a private gentlemen´s club over a hundred years ago, it overlooks the marshes and the sea and has been lovingly converted by owner-managers Margaret and Ian Snaith into an informal hotel with an exciting restaurant with AA Rosette, offering imaginatively cooked local produce. The views from its friendly bar, lounge and seafood restaurant are among the finest along the coast, designated a protected area of outstanding beauty. Meals can be taken in either the seafood bar or the restaurant which overlooks a secluded walled garden. The menu offers a selection of dishes using the best local produce - crabs, mussels, lobsters, bass, smoked fish, local meat, game and vegetables. The Titchwell experience is as much about the staff as it is about food and accommodation. Professional, friendly, yet unobtrusive, it is testimony to the Snaiths, Mark and Eric, who together have cleverly blended relaxing environment with tempting lunch and dinner menus. This light, bright and peaceful hotel is the perfect retreat after visiting the specialist shopping delights of busy Burnham Market or walking on Holkham Beach to relive Gwyneth Paltrow's final scene in Shakespeare in Love.
