MarchMarch

Busy market town, once an island surrounded by marshes. As the land was drained and made more fertile it grew and prospered. The course of the old River Nene (with its colourful boats) winds its way past the park and pretty riverside gardens. St. Wendreda's Church is noted for its magnificent double hammerbeam angel roof.
