Much Hadham
One of Hertfordshire's showpiece villages - and the former country seat of the Bishops of London. The long High Street has well-preserved timber and brick houses. Edmund Tudor, father of Henry VII was born here in 1430.
The Forge Museum is a old blacksmith's workshop (1811-1983). It has various displays and a lovely Victorian cottage garden to explore. At nearby Perry Green is the former home and studio of sculptor Henry Moore. Visitors can see a permanent exhibition of his work.
