Angles Way

Black Fen Trail
Runs from/to: Circular route, starting from various locations, such as Downham Market in Norfolk; and Ely
and March in Cambridgeshire.
Mileage: 65 miles/105 kilometres.
This trail follows public rights of way and quiet minor roads - over traditional Fenland countryside and beside
many waterways.

Essex Way
Runs from/to: Epping (Essex) to Harwich (Essex).

Long distance route stretching right across the county of Essex, from the market town of Epping to the port of Harwich.

Fen Rivers Way
Runs from/to: Cambridge (Cambridgeshire) to The Wash (nr. King's Lynn, Norfolk).
Mileage: 50 miles/80 kilometres.
This walk crosses the flat expanse of The Fens, following the course of rivers that drain slowly into the Wash. Noted
for its wildlife (birds).

Greensand Ridge Walk
Runs from/to: Leighton Buzzard (Bedfordshire) to Gamlingay (nr. St. Neots, Cambridgeshire).

This walk follows a well-wooded ridge of sandstone, which rises above the flat clay plains of Bedfordshire.

Hertfordshire Way
Runs from/to: Circular route, starting from Royston (Hertfordshire), travelling via Tring, Hertford and Bishop's Stortford.

wooded escarpments.

Icknield Way Path

The Icknield Way claims to be the ‘oldest road in Britain', with a history dating back to Neolithic times (4,000-2,000 BC).

Lea Valley Walk

Ouse Valley Way

One of the longest and flattest river valley walks in Britain, following the River Ouse from its source to the sea.

Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path
Runs from/to: Knettishall Heath Country Park (nr. Thetford, Suffolk), via Holme-next-the-Sea to Cromer (Norfolk).
Mileage: 93 miles/150 kilometres.
The Peddars Way (47 miles/75 kilometres) is a distinctive 2,000 year old Roman road running through The Brecks to West Norfolk. From here the Norfolk Coast Path (46 miles/74 kilometres) follows saltmarsh, dune and huge
open beaches to Cromer.

Sandlings Walk
