St. Albans
Regular city walks start from outside the Old Town Hall in the Market Place - normally on Sunday, Wednesday and Bank Holidays (contact for times). In July and August, there are walks every Tuesday and Thursday at 1100. Duration of 1 to 1½ hours. Various themes include Pubs and Chapels; The Wars of the Roses; Monks, Mysteries and Mischief; and Victorian St. Albans. Ghost walks depart from the Tourist Information Centre twice monthly on Wednesday at 2000. Special tours for Halloween in October (both for children and adults). St. Albans Guides also offer walks in the nearby locations of Redbourn, Harpenden and Wheathampstead. Admission charge for all walks.
